WE TAKE OUR RESPONSIBILITIES SERIOUSY

Humans buy around 1 million plastic bottles every minute. Less than 25% of them are recycled, and over 30% of the 80+ million tons of plastic packaging produced annually is left to flow into our oceans. It is likely that within our lifetime there will be more plastic than fish in the world’s oceans. Choosing to buy products thoughtfully makes a huge difference and sends a clear message out to retailers.

We try to maximise use of recyclables in our packaging, with a clear objective to eliminate single-use plastic packs where possible and we challenge our suppliers to do the same.

WE NEVER USE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BOTTLES

Not now, not ever.

Our commitment to avoiding plastic packaging has given us some challenges with distribution, since couriers prefer the relative ease of handling plastics. And most of us have dealt with battered parcels and clumsy couriers.

However we chose not to take the easy option from the beginning as this is the right thing to do. We would rather not have a business at all than sell our products in plastic bottles.

 

 

 

OUR PACKAGING

We currently use recycled glass bottles that are 100% recyclable forever, packed in bespoke designed Antidotefuel cardboard boxes. 

Since most courier networks do not cater for liquids and glass (see 'battered parcels' above) we had to develop our own box solution to enable safe transit of our drinks and to make sure they arrive in the best condition possible. We now have a reliable solution that also offers a quality unboxing experience for our ecommerce customers.

Reliable quality couriers however also charge a premium, so we have absorbed as much of those costs as we can to try to make our products viable as through ecommerce channel's.
